AboutAbout the Common Values Party

A Radical Centrist Movement for the American Majority

In a political climate defined by extremes and division, the Common Values Party emerges as a centrist movement built to represent the vast majority of Americans: the tens of millions who identify as centerleft or center-right and who have been left without a political home. Our mission is to restore the lost art of compromise, deliver effective governance, and ensure that the United States remains strong, secure, and prosperous. The Common Values Party is more than a collection of policies and principles. It is a movement to reshape the political landscape around unity, pragmatic solutions, and the shared ideals that bind Americans together. What follows is a deeper account of what we stand for and how we intend to make an impact.

A Strong Floor and an Unlimited CeilingOur Governing Philosophy

The Common Values platform is built around two core principles: a strong floor and an unlimited ceiling.

A strong floor means that no American who works hard and plays by the rules should fall into destitution. Access to food, shelter, healthcare, safety, and quality education provides the foundation people need to build secure and productive lives.

An unlimited ceiling means that once this foundation is protected, there should be no limit on how high an individual can rise. We celebrate ambition, achievement, profit, entrepreneurship, and success.

The Common Values Party rejects the idea that America must choose between protecting workers and supporting businesses. We are unapologetically pro-worker and pro-business because economic security and opportunity are not opposing goals. They are partners in creating a country that grows for everyone.

Our Vision

The Common Values Party envisions a future where governance is guided by shared values, where compromise is the rule rather than the exception, and where the United States stands as a beacon of strength and stability on the global stage. We are committed to protecting the rights and wellbeing of all Americans, and especially the American family, while advancing policies that secure the nation, expand economic opportunity, embrace smart technology, and protect the environment. We seek to bridge the divide between the political extremes by reminding Americans that they share fundamental values that run far deeper than party lines. By focusing on what we hold in common rather than on what divides us, we aim to build a spirit of cooperation that can drive real and lasting change.

What We Stand For

We believe effective government requires multi-partisan dialogue, public participation, accountability, and a willingness to find common ground. Our platform supports fair electoral representation, election integrity, secure borders, a sensible pathway to citizenship for qualified immigrants, a strong military, advanced defense technology, responsible domestic energy production, and continued investment in clean energy. We believe the family is the foundation of a healthy society and that every child deserves an excellent education. Families, teachers, educators, and local school boards should have a meaningful voice in what children learn. We support responsible social policies that protect individual rights while maintaining public safety and accountability. We defend free speech, peaceful assembly, the rights of the accused, the humane treatment of elderly Americans, and the protection of citizens from crime, harassment, threats, and intimidation.

Supporting Workers, Families, and Businesses

The Common Values Party believes that workers and businesses rise together in a healthy economy. We support a simpler and fairer tax system, responsible federal budgeting, fair pay for a full day’s work, the right of workers to organize, and the right of individuals to make their own choices. We also support entrepreneurs, small businesses, and companies that invest in their employees through training, fair wages, and profit sharing. Profit, innovation, employment, and opportunity are closely connected. Our goal is to help ensure that economic growth benefits the many rather than only the few.

Building a Stronger Future

We are committed to addressing the cost of healthcare and prescription drugs, protecting people with pre-existing conditions, improving price transparency, expanding preventive and mental health services, and reducing harmful chemicals in food and the environment. We support investments in roads, bridges, broadband, high-speed rail, and modern public transportation. We also believe America must maintain a strong and principled role in the world, confront terrorism, protect American interests, negotiate fair trade agreements, and direct foreign aid toward education, healthcare, and economic development.

A Common Future

The Common Values Party offers an alternative to the exhausting partisanship that has come to define American politics.

Through compromise, accountability, common sense, and strength, we seek to build a movement that protects the family, supports workers and businesses, secures the nation, and restores effective government.

We believe the values that unite Americans will always be greater than the issues that divide them.
